a white flag to pluralism
I have decided that I have nothing to be ashamed of, socially. I am always warm and friendly to partners in class assignments, people who sit next to me, and even random strangers on some occasions. I should not feel socially inferior because I don't have an arbitrary number of friends. I figure, I have some stuff going for me, and when the opportunity presents itself, I am always interested in meeting new people and making new friends. But I am saying goodbye to belittling myself for not meeting a friend quota and attempting to force friendships that might not be there. People fall into friendships, they don't sweat for them. And that's what really grinds my gears.
